David Farrell

David Michael Farrell, better known as Phoenix, is the prominent bass guitarist for the American rock band Linkin Park. Born on February 8, 1977 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, David showed an interest in music from an early age. His mother played a key role in his musical education by teaching him to play the guitar. Inspired by his older brother Joe, Farrell continued to develop his skills and soon switched to bass guitar.

After moving to California, David began his musical career in the pop punk band Tasty Snax, later renamed The Snax. It was here that he finally established himself as a bass guitarist. Soon after, he joined the band Xero, which later transformed into Hybrid Theory and then became world famous as Linkin Park.

Phoenix has a higher education, which he received from the University of California, Los Angeles. There he lived with Brad Delson, another member of Linkin Park, which allowed them to improve their musical skills. David is not only a virtuoso bass guitarist, but also knows how to play the violin and other instruments.
